Purchasing From A Used ATV Dealer

If you are looking to buy a used ATV I highly recommend working with a used ATV dealer. In general you will pay a little bit more for a vehicle from a used ATV dealer then you would if you bought from a private party, but you do get something for paying this extra premium. I have always gone to a reputable used ATV dealer when I am looking to purchase because of the security and comfort it gives me.

What You Get From Working With A Used ATV Dealer

The first thing you get is a company you can hold accountable if something is wrong with the vehicle. If you purchase from a private party, this can be a lot more difficult to do. In addition the used ATV dealer should have a lot more experience and knowledge about the ATVs then a private seller would. They usually will run a repair shop in addition to the used sales portion and give the ATV a full inspection and repair anything that looks broken or worn down on it before selling it. They should have the parts on hand to get this taken care of and if they are a reputable used ATV dealer they will do it for you. The ATV dealer cost to do these repairs is far less then what a private party would pay, so while the ATV may cost a bit more up front in the long run you are saving a considerable amount.

In addition to that when you purchase from a used ATV dealer you can often get an extended warranty on the ATV that a private party would not be able to offer you. Usually for a couple hundred bucks extra you can make sure that you ATV will be trail ready whenever you need it. Typically the used ATV dealer can do the repairs right on site, so again they are going to want to make sure that your ATV stays out on the trail as much as it can. While a private party might have a lower price, you simply can not get that kind of security.

These are only a couple reasons why purchasing from a dealer is a good idea. There are many more reasons why, but at the very least you should a take a look and see what the dealer has to offer. At the very least you can look at many different ATVs and get an idea on pricing when you go shopping. Personally though, I would always buy from the dealer just for the comfort factor alone.
